The word “mind” appears in scripture 142 times. God cares about what we think. He knows our thought life directly impacts our actions or lack thereof. There are things God desires to do in your life but your mindset can hinder them.
From the time we were little we were introduced to the idea that our happiness is obtainable once we reach this successful future we plan to create for ourselves one day. We were told in order to have a good life, we must set goals and work on accomplishing those goals, and once we do, we will be happy.
Sometimes we unconsciously allow our fears to rule us, and the choices we make. Part of why this happens is that we have a hard time delving deep within ourselves, and acknowledging what most scares us.
As a full-time working mother, pastor’s wife and visionary building my God-given dreams; time and energy are hot commodities around here. Not that long ago I found myself living off of fumes and close to mental break down (I’m exaggerating but it felt like it). I had to step back and take a good look at myself and life and figure out a system that works for me.
Our prayer life is a reflection of our intimacy with Father God. If you desire to be closer to God and deepen your intimacy with Him, then you’ll need to take the time to evaluate your prayer life.
A negative mindset may be familiar to you, but it doesn’t have to win. These thoughts are not truth, and you can’t afford to let them take up residence. In this article, I want to share with you how you can send these negative thoughts packing and out the door, so that you can make room for much better things.
I quickly closed my bible and said, “Umm yea, this woman is not real, I can’t relate.” Why? Well for one, I don’t like to cook or clean, I appreciate my sleep, I don’t know how to sew (takes me 30 minutes just to get the thread in the needle head), and at that time in my life, I was working and in school full-time (do people still farm? – don’t judge me I’m a city girl).
It’s virtually impossible to have a healthy/happy relationship with someone you can’t communicate with or when the communication is one-way. However, this is the reality for many believers in their relationship with their heavenly husband – Jesus Christ.
Question. Are you unprepared for when tough times come? Are you facing a hard season now? Honestly, we know life is full of ups and downs, so why are some of us so easily defeated? Are you equipped for the expected unexpected battles?
Have you noticed a repeated cycle of family breakdown, conflict, struggling marriages and/or divorce in your bloodline? This is a sign that a generational curse may be operating. I personally come from a lineage of adultery, illegitimate children and divorce.
